Module Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students should be able to

  Comprehend the Structural schema of matrices and their different types.

  Able to perform arithmetic operations on Matrices including Addition and Subtraction and Multiplication

  Identity the different special traits of matrices and understand Matrix multiplication better.

  Compute the determinant of a matrix 

  Understand the concept of Inverse and it’s properties.

  Compute concepts like Adjoint, Minor and Determinant which play a crucial Role in computing Inverse

  Explain the relationship vectors and algebra

  Solve problems related to vectors, Subspaces, Dimensions and their spaces.

  Compute Eigen Values and Eigen Vectors for a given Matrix

  Apply the concept of Eigen Values in several spheres and also apply the properties of eigenvalues to find inverse 

  Explain concepts like diagonalisation, Cayley Hamilton Theorem,etc

  Understand Orthogonal Matrices, Unitary matrices and conclude the concepts.
