By the end of this course, students should be able to
Solve kinematics problems in one and two dimensions.
Apply the equations of motion for particles.
Apply the principle of work and energy to solve kinetics of particle problems that involve force, velocity and displacement.
Apply the principle of linear impulse and momentum to solve kinetics of particle problems.
Analyze relative motion of velocity and acceleration using a translating frame of reference.
Apply the equations of motion for a rigid body undergoing translation, rotation about a fixed axis and general plane motion.
Apply the equations of motion for a rigid 3D body undergoing rotation.
