Module Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students should be able to understand:
Differentiate functions of two or more variables and study minimization and maximization problems.
Calculate double integrals in rectangular, non-rectangular and polar regions and use double integrals to calculate surface areas, volumes of solids.
Perform various algebraic operations on vectors and apply them to problems involving force and work.
Perform calculus of vector valued function such as differentiation and integration.
Apply calculus of vector-valued functions to analyze the motion of particles along curved paths, and various physical phenomena.
Mathematically describe and analyze flows of various types (the flow of a fluid, the flow of electricity for example) using vector fields, line integrals, Green’s Theorem.
